The Alliance announces new leadership

THE ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP


Rosemont, Ill.—The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has announced the members of its 2011-12 board of trustees.

Will Fort III, president of Fort Roofing and Sheet Metal Works, Sumter, S.C., will serve as president; Robert Therrien Jr., president of The Melanson Co. Inc., Keene, N.H., will serve as vice president; Ken Farrish, president of Atlas Roofing Corp., Atlanta, and Dan Murphy, Longmeadow, Mass., will serve as co-secretaries/treasurers; and Dennis Conway, co-owner of Commercial Roofers Inc., Las Vegas, will serve as NRCA vice president liaison.

Committee members include Dane Bradford, president of Bradford Roof Management, Billings, Mont.; Bob Gardiner, vice president of marketing for CertainTeed Roofing, Valley Forge, Pa.; Reed Gooding, president of GSM Roofing, Ephrata, Pa.; Scott Kawulok, executive project manager for B&M Roofing of Colorado Inc., Frederick, Colo.; Steve Kubicka, director of commercial products for ABC Supply, Beloit, Wis.; Molly Kwiatkowski, area sales director for Owens Corning, Toledo, Ohio; Jim MacKimm, executive vice president of Beacon Roofing Supply Inc., Somerville, Mass.; Rob McNamara, Tecta America Corp., Skokie, Ill.; R. Bruce McCrory, co-owner and secretary/treasurer of Kiker Corp., Mobile, Ala.; James Patterson, senior vice president-procurement for CentiMark Corp., Canonsburg, Pa.; Nick Shears, vice president of sales and marketing for Carlisle SynTec Inc., Carlisle, Pa.; and Jeff Willis, vice president of sales and marketing for Roofing Supply Group LLC, Dallas.

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress was established within the National Roofing Foundation to create an endowment fund to serve as a highly focused resource for the roofing industry and its customers. The Alliance's objectives are to conduct research and education projects that support high-quality programs for roofing contractors; ensure timely and forward-thinking industry responses to major economic and technological issues; and enhance the long-term viability and attractiveness of the industry to roofing workers. The Alliance also reaches out to the roofing community and its members and helps fund efforts dedicated to good works and charitable giving.
