Golf

Tee times are being held for Saturday, April 21, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Heritage Golf Links (formerly Celebrity Golf Club International.)

Heritage Golf Links was nominated as one of the "Best New Golf Courses in America" by Golf Digest magazine when it first opened in 1996. It is located just 10 miles from downtown Atlanta in Tucker, Ga. It is not the typical Atlanta golf course weaving through a home development. Heritage is a "core" golf course, thereby only having homes along its outside border, making for a traditional golf experience. The golf course is designed around a 20-acre lake with water in play on several holes. The course's rolling terrain and dramatic elevation changes provide stunning vistas. Undulating bent grass greens challenge golfers of all kinds, enjoying a reputation as one of the most unusual and best golf experiences in Georgia. Social Events

We have two special social events planned for attendees and their spouses/guests. Our reception Thursday evening will be at The Cherokee Town Club, which was chartered in 1956 and is recognized as one of America’s premier private clubs. The Town Club occupies the famed Grant estate on West Paces Ferry Road, which is one of Atlanta's grand residences built during World War I. In 1997, Cherokee was named the "very best private country club" in America in an inaugural poll of thousands of leaders in private club management. The club was honored by the Club Leaders Forum by earning this mark of distinction in 2000, 2003, 2006 and again in 2009. Attire for the evening will be suits and ties for men and ladies will be comfortable in cocktail attire.

For our Friday evening reception and dinner, we have a special treat. Alliance members Bennett and Gayle Hutchison have extended an invitation to enjoy their southern hospitality. The Hutchison's have graciously opened their home and are hosting a good old fashioned backyard barbeque. The evening will be relaxed, casual and provide a great opportunity for getting acquainted with new members and catching up with old members. Casual attire is appropriate because the barbeque will be outdoors. You will want to bring a light jacket or sweater.

Transportation will be provided for the Thursday and Friday evening events.
